Introduction
This statement provides guidance on accessibility, and support for accessibility, to the activities and locations managed by SWDSME.
It is not a detailed assessment of every possible requirement or scenario. Anyone wanting further information or advice on accessibility can contact the SWDSME Secretary.

The club will make all reasonable efforts to be inclusive of anyone who wants to participate in club activities or receive communications from the club, such as the newsletter.
Club Site (Stansted)
The site is accessible by road, with hard, level ground from the main road to the club house.
Other areas of the site are rough grass.
The club house is a single room for shelter, tea and coffee making. It is accessible via one step but the club will install step-free access if required.
The single toilet is a shared facility, managed by the club’s landlord and has one step up to it. It is not currently wheelchair accessible.
Club Nights (Village Hall)
The club meets on a monthly basis at a local village hall. It has step free access and a disabled access toilet with baby change facility. There is a small car park behind the hall.
Club nights usually consist of a small number of members sitting round a table for discussion, and to talk about or show their projects. Occasional use is made of multimedia, such as a projector for sharing computer content.
Newsletters and other Member Communications
The newsletter and other member communications are usually sent by email.
Email communications are sent in plain, unformatted text.
The newsletter is published in PDF format and typically includes a number of photos.
Printed copies of the newsletter are sent out on request in black and white, double-sided A4 format.
Public Liability insurance documents are distributed as printed A4 sheets, in the format provided by our insurers.
Membership cards are printed and laminated credit-card sized cards.
Website
The website is hosted by 34SP and uses the standard, free hosting format of the service provider. This includes automatic adjustment for displaying the website on mobile devices.
